Today, I've got three small but exciting updates for y'all. First, in light of my first book, Crown of Madness , being in the running for 2022's SPFBO book competition, I am "trying" to work on getting the third Grim Hunt book out faster for everyone! I cannot guarantee anything, but I am looking to see if it would be possible for the third book to come out before January 2023. I'll see what happens with my efforts, and I'll inform everyone on this in a future update as to when book three's official release will be. Second, the next draft of book four is complete!! I am so excited to see my work coming along at such an incredible pace! I do not have an official (or even a vague) release date set for this book, but just know that it is nearing its final stages to completion! Lastly, I am about halfway through writing the fifth and final book of the Grim Hunt!! Now, I must admit that I had already written a decent amount in chunks here and there over...

Hey, Everyone, I am making a bit of a difficult choice. With the recent completion of the latest draft of The Grim Hunt book 4, I have begun writing the first draft of the 5th and final book in the series. As I am writing and outlining where the story will go (and ultimately finish), I can't help but wonder if Nicolette's backstory should be something that I include in the book for more depth, development, and motivation of Nicolette's character doing what she is. This being said, I don't want to jipp anyone of having her short story, Mystical Genesis , more or less copied and pasted into the book - I feel that wouldn't be fair to any readers who have purchased her story to have to more or less pay for the final book and have essentially purchased it again. Plus the main books are what's most important - not some side novella venture within the series explaining the backstory to such an important and influential character. MAJOR UPDATE!! Hey, Everyone! I know how annoying it can be to wait for future book releases! Well, let's just say that I'm a fast worker, and I'm here with a rather large progress update! - Binding of Souls releases this month, and is currently in the final stages of its cover's design! - The next novella, Secret of the Weaver , is all ready for publication, writing, editing, and cover design and all! It will be released for everyone sometime this July! - Book 3 of the Grim Hunt is currently in the review process and nearing its final stages, so it shouldn't be long until I'm just waiting on my amazing cover designer. This book is coming January 2023, and though I have a running title, it may be subject to change, so I'll reveal that on a future date! - I literally just finished marking up the next round of copy and content revisions for the fourth Grim Hunt book! I also have a running title for this book, and my mind is pretty much set on the title ...
Let's kick off this blog, shall we? My name is Ryan G. Beaty, and I am a self-published fantasy author. I hope this blog will help me connect with my growing audience while also keeping all of my readers informed on writing updates and news. I am primarily working on my Grim Hunt 5 book series at the moment, and currently have the first book, Crown of Madness, and a novella, Mystical Genesis, available on Amazon, and the second book, Binding of Souls, is coming this June 2022 and the next novella, Secret of the Weaver, is coming this July 2022!
